On August 5, 2025, at about 3:00 PM in Concepcion, Tarlac, operatives of the Women and Children Cybercrime Protection Unit (WCCPU), in coordination with the Concepcion Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), conducted an operation that resulted in the rescue of a 14-year-old girl, alias “Ella,” following a report of online child abuse.

“Ella” was referred to the Concepcion MSWDO for psychological assessment, evaluation, and counseling. Furthermore, WCCPU conducted an interview and continuously monitored the victim’s online activities for possible case buildup.

Brigadier General Bernard R. Yang, Acting Director of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group, commended the operatives for the successful rescue operation. “The PNP ACG will never waver in our fight against child abuse. Every child rescued is a step closer to a safer digital environment for all,” he said.
