
On July 26, 2025, at about 9:45 AM in Tambacan, Iligan City, operatives of the Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit 10 rendered technical assistance to the Women and Children Protection Center – Mindanao Field Unit (WCPC-MFU) in their implementation of the Warrant to Search, Seize, and Examine Computer Data that resulted in the rescue of a 20-year-old woman and four minor victims from online sexual abuse and exploitation.
Meanwhile, all rescued victims were brought and turned over to the City Social Welfare Development Office of Cagayan de Oro City for assessment, evaluation, and interview.
Brigadier General Bernard R. Yang, Acting Director of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group, commended the unit for their prompt technical support to WCPC-MFU. He also added, โThe PNP ACG supports other agencies and units and is ready to provide assistance to pursue perpetrators and strengthen efforts to protect vulnerable individuals from online abuse and exploitation.”
