On July 30, 2025, at about 10:00 AM in Agusan del Sur, operatives of the Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit 13 arrested a 39-year-old woman, alias “Mara,” pursuant to a warrant of arrest.

“Mara” is facing charges for violation of Article 315 (Swindling/Estafa) of the Revised Penal Code in relation to Section 6 of RA No. 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012), with bail set at Php12,000.00.

Brigadier General Bernard R. Yang, Acting Director of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group, commended the operatives for their continued dedication to tracking down and apprehending wanted persons. He also highlighted, “Let this arrest serve as a warning to online fraudsters that they will be tracked, caught, and prosecuted. The PNP ACG will not rest until justice is served and the digital space is safe for all.”
