On August 1, 2025, at about 4:40 PM in Antipolo City, operatives of the Rizal Provincial Cyber Response Team arrested a 67-year-old man, alias “Jimson,” pursuant to a warrant of arrest.

“Jimson” is facing charges for violation of Section 4(c)4 (Libel) of RA No. 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012), with bail set at Php10,000.00.

Brigadier General Bernard R. Yang, Acting Director of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group, commended the unit for the successful implementation of the warrant. He also emphasized, “Freedom of expression comes with responsibility. The PNP ACG will not tolerate the misuse of digital platforms to harm reputations or spread online libel.”
