On August 6, 2025, at about 11:00 AM in Kabasalan, Zamboanga Sibugay, operatives of the Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Cyber Response Team (ZSBGY PCRT) arrested a 28-year-old woman, alias “Andi,” pursuant to a warrant of arrest.

“Andi” is facing charges for two (2) counts of violation of Section 4(c)4 (Libel) of RA No. 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act), with bail set at Php160,000.00.

Brigadier General Bernard R. Yang, Acting Director of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group, commended the unit for the successful operation. He also emphasized, “The PNP ACG reminds everyone to use digital platforms responsibly and lawfully. Online libel is a criminal offense, and we will continue to hold offenders accountable under the law.”
