As part of its intensified campaign against cybercrime, the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group (ACG) carried out a total of 148 police operations across the country in June 2025.

These operations led to the arrest of 227 individuals. Of these, 106 were apprehended through entrapment operations, 94 were nabbed in a separate law enforcement operation, 25 wanted persons were arrested through the service of warrants, one was busted during the implementation of a search warrant, and another one was arrested during a rescue operation. In addition, one child in conflict with the law (CICL) was taken into custody, while 11 victims were rescued.

The top five laws most commonly violated were PD No. 1602 (Anti-Illegal Gambling), RA No. 12010 (Anti-Financial Account Scamming Act or AFASA of 2024), RA No. 11934 (SIM Registration Act of 2022), and Article 286 (Grave Coercion) of the Revised Penal Code, all in relation to RA No. 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012), and Section 4(c)(4) (Libel) of RA No. 10175.

Moreover, for the month of June 2025, the PNP ACG highlights the major law enforcement operation conducted in Tarlac City against an illegal gambling activity that resulted in the immediate arrest of 94 individuals involved in its operation and the regular filing of hundreds of bettors found in the said gambling site.

This operation supports the directive of Police General Nicolas D. Torre III, Chief of the PNP, to ensure that anti-cybercrime laws are fully implemented and violators are promptly penalized.

Police Brigadier General Bernard R. Yang, Acting Director of the PNP ACG, commended the personnel for their efficient teamwork and prompt actions on operations. He stated, “The operations reflect our commitment to safeguarding the public from cybercriminals who exploit technology for illegal activities. We urge everyone to remain vigilant and report suspicious online transactions to the authorities to prevent cyber-enabled crimes.”
