On July 22, 2025, at about 1:00 PM in Bogo City, Cebu, operatives of the Cebu Provincial Cyber Response Team arrested a 26-year-old woman, alias “Jen,” pursuant to a warrant of arrest.

“Jen” is facing charges for violation of Section 4(c)4 (Libel) of RA No. 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012), with bail set at Php10,000.00.

Brigadier General Bernard R. Yang, Acting Director of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group, commended the team for the successful operation. He also emphasized, “We urge everyone to think before they post. Malicious statements made online have legal consequences. The PNP ACG is committed to ensuring accountability in the digital space.”
