On July 23, 2025, at about 6:55 PM in La Trinidad, Benguet, operatives of the Mt. Province Cyber Response Team served a warrant of arrest at the custodial facility of the Police Regional Office – Cordillera Administrative Region against a 31-year-old woman, alias “Aya,” for vishing scam.

“Aya” is charged for violation of RA No. 8484 (Access Devices Regulation Act of 1998), with bail set at Php60,000.00.

Brigadier General Bernard R. Yang, Acting Director of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group, lauded the team for the successful service of the warrant of arrest. He also stated, “The PNP ACG remains steadfast in its mission to combat cybercrimes and ensure that those who use technology for illegal activities are held accountable.”
