On July 23, 2025, at about 7:45 PM in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan, operatives of the Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit 2 conducted an entrapment operation that led to the arrest of a 26-year-old man, alias “Ken,” for threatening and harassing a woman online using nude photos and videos.

“Ken” is facing charges for violations of Articles 282 (Grave Threat) and 286 (Grave Coercion) of the Revised Penal Code and RA No. 9995 (Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act of 2009), all in relation to Section 6 of RA No. 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012).

Brigadier General Bernard R. Yang, Acting Director of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group, commended the operatives for the successful operation and rescue of the victim. “The use of private and explicit content to threaten someone is a serious crime. The PNP ACG remains resolute in pursuing online predators and ensuring they are held accountable. We encourage victims to report such incidents so we can act swiftly and protect others from similar abuse,” he also added.
