
On July 27, 2025, at about 12:35 PM in Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro, operatives of the Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit 4B conducted an entrapment operation that led to the arrest of an 18-year-old man, alias “Pancho,” for threatening and harassing his 17-year-old ex-girlfriend using explicit photos.
“Pancho” is facing charges for violations of Article 286 (Grave Coercion) of the Revised Penal Code as amended by RA No. 10951 and RA No. 11930 (Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children or OSAEC and Anti-Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials CSAEM Act of 2022), both in relation to Section 6 of RA No. 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012).
Brigadier General Bernard R. Yang, Acting Director of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group, commended the operatives for the successful operation. He also stated, โThe PNP ACG is dedicated to ensuring that those responsible for online abuse are held accountable. We encourage the public to report such crimes and cooperate with us to protect individuals from such acts.โ
