n August 2, 2025, at about 12:16 AM in Conception,Tarlac, Tarlac Provincial Cyber Response Team conducted an entrapment operation that resulted in the arrest of a 22-year-old man, alias “Neil,” for committing child abuse and exploitation through the use of social media platforms.

“Neil” is facing charges for violation of RA No. 11930 (Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children or OSAEC and Anti-Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials or CSAEM Act of 2022), in relation to RA No. 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act) and RA No. 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012).

Brigadier General Bernard R. Yang, Acting Director of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group, commended the operatives for the successful operation and rescue of the victim. “Those who exploit and harm children will face the full force of the law. We urge the public to report any suspicious activities to help protect the most vulnerable,” he also added.
