The women’s CYBERCOPS of PNP ACG arrested Kenn Russele Cabalatungan y Rico on May 9, 2017 at about 6:23 PM in East Rembo, Makati City in a report submitted to Police Director General RONALD M DELA ROSA by Police Senior Superintendent RONALDO F DE JESUS, Officer in Charge of PNP ACG.

According to PSSUPT DE JESUS, the police operation stemmed from the complaint of the victim on April 28, 2017, that her ex-boyfriend uploaded her nude pictures to a porn website.

The official said that the victim is a 3rd year college student and met the suspect in Facebook. The victim saw the profile picture of the suspect and posted a comment and he took the opportunity to communicate with the victim and started courting her through his Facebook account.

After years of relationship, the suspect was able to get her nude pictures every time they meet. He was able to make a slide show of these pictures and upload it to a porn site when she broke up in their relationship. Suspect also shared it to the friends of the victim through Facebook.

“When the PNP ACG personnel conducted entrapment operation, the suspect brought the victim to a hotel for sexual activity in exchange of not uploading the pictures to the Internet and delete it”, the official said.

There is a rapid growth of uploading nude pictures and videos on the Internet, on 2015 there are 56 complaints, on 2016 there are 192 complaints, and on the first quarter of 2017 there are 50 complaints received by ACG. Most of the victims were females aging from 15 to 35 years old. Victims were looking for an online relationship and shared their nude pictures online.

The suspect will be charged for violation of Article 286 of the Revised Penal Code committed by, through and with the use of ICT pursuant to Section 6 of RA 10175, RA 9995 (Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act), and RA 9262 (Anti-Violence against Women and Children) before the Makati City Prosecutor’s Office.
