As part of its intensified nationwide campaign against cybercriminal activities, the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group (ACG) conducted a series of simultaneous operations across the country throughout May 2025, which resulted in the arrest of 33 individuals with outstanding warrants for various cybercrime offenses.

The arrest warrants were issued by different courts across the Philippines and stemmed from both entrapment operations and the regular filing of cases by the PNP ACG throughout the country.

Of the 33 suspects apprehended, 10 were involved in cybercrime, specifically Section 4(c)4 (Libel) of RA No. 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012).

The remaining 23 individuals were wanted for various cyber-related offenses: five for violation under Article 315 (Estafa/Swindling) of the Revised Penal Code; six under RA No. 8484 (Access Devices Regulation Act of 1998); five under of RA No. 9995 (Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act of 2009); two under of RA No. 11313 (Safe Spaces Act of 2018); two under RA No. 7183 (Firecrackers and Other Pyrotechnic Devices Act of 1992); one for violating RA No. 12010 (Anti-Financial Account Scamming Act or AFASA of 2024); one under RA No. 10364 (Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2012); and one for Qualified Theft through Falsification of Commercial Documents, in relation to Section 6 of RA No. 10175.       


Police Brigadier General Bernard R. Yang, Acting Director of the PNP ACG, praised all operating units of the PNP ACG for their efficient teamwork and prompt implementation of the warrants. He stated, “These arrests are part of the PNP ACG’s ongoing efforts to combat cybercrime across the country and safeguard the public from the increasing threats of online scams and digital exploitation, with the goal of creating a safer cyberspace for everyone.”
