In response to the alarming reports of cybercriminals posing as dentists and offering unauthorized dental services online, the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP ACG) has stepped up its operations to combat these illegal activities.

During the first quarter of 2025, the PNP ACG conducted nine entrapment operations nationwide, resulting in the arrest of 14 individuals and the rescue of a Child-at-Risk who was involved in the unauthorized practice of dentistry without the necessary licenses or professional credentials.

These operations were the result of proactive cyberpatrolling by the PNP ACG operatives, who identified suspects advertising unlicensed dental services via online platforms. All operations were conducted in close coordination with the Philippine Dental Association and the Professional Regulation Commission.

The operations align with the directive of Police General Rommel Francisco D. Marbil, Chief of the PNP, to strengthen both proactive and reactive actions against cybercrime and ensure public safety in cyber environment. Police Brigadier General Bernard R. Yang, Acting Director of the PNP ACG, commended the operatives involved  for the successful operations. “These fake dentists offering service without a license can cause serious risks, including health complications, financial loss, the spread of infections, and long-term damage to your teeth. If you are aware of anyone offering unauthorized dental services, report it immediately to the nearest ACG office for appropriate action,” he said.
